Hi, I'm trying to import from web wiz using the conversion tool and I get an error...


System Error

There was an error counting the entries in the Group table - this can happen when the sql prefix is set incorrectly.

SQL Prefix:tbl
Tables:
LISTS ALL TABLES

I am not sure what I should be setting for the table prefix - there are a lot more tables in the database than just the forum ones so it looks like tbl should be correct. Is this supposed to work? I can see tables starting with tbl in the list - as if it is not matching them somehow - is it expecting tbl_ perhaps?

Any help would be appreciated. Has anyone managed to import from web wiz before?

It is the table prefix that's causing that, at least as far as I can see.

I don't know what the table prefix is although I've just downloaded their free version for a closer look, it should be tbl_ as default. I can't read the code very well as its .asp.

However, look at your database tables, look for ones that have 'strDbTable' , 'Forum' , 'Topic' , 'Thread' , 'Author' , these are most likely to be the webwiz forum ones you want. See what prefix they have and compare what you have put into the convertor.

It may be tbl_ (then the name) or it might just be tbl (then the name) without the _
