Hello,

Well, what can I say, as there is no update for Nexus for a longer time I became bored and had to post something here.

I really find IPS products useful for me which are realized mostly the way I would expect. However, main reason I went for IPS was nexus + ip.downloads.

I find big issue on how nexus updates are going on release. I am (and probably many of you) waiting for bug fixes of issues came with 1.5.0/1, the bugs it contains stops me from going with my community on live.. cuz how can you sell fruits per kg not having a weight scale working properly?

Nexus is kind of product which should be treated with high priority.. as it is related with critical data going trough.. personal details.. card payments.. dealing with banks and payment systems.. there are no jokes with customer's money we obtain.. many of us is doing advanced sale, action scripts.. own system, keygen.. auth servers etc.. but all is managed by Nexus..

No more to say.. you know everything

Hopefully you will put your attention of it and rise Nexus updates priority in closest future.

Regards,

This topic is going to fill up with two sides, who also represent the two sides of our customers.

Side #1: "Too many updates! We want bigger updates less frequently! Updating my site all the time is tiring!"
Side #2: "Updates take too long! We want weekly updates!"

We can't please everyone, so we have to be somewhere in the middle. While some smaller sites might be able to update weekly, larger sites need to plan out and scope every single update.

We released Nexus 1.5.0 on June 18th, and 1.5.1 on June 28th. It's barely been two weeks. If we push out updates every week, we'll give users upgrade fatigue who fall behind in updates because they get tired of applying them. It's a delicate balancing act.

Well, I understand your point of bigger update as I do same for my customers. The only thing I wanted to turn your attention is: how important is Nexus and how problematic it can be if it contains so many issues. I am patient person.

I never said about weekly updates, Too many is bad. it would be better to say updates that bring Customers' exceptions.

And again, by this topic I asked only for one thing, to be more careful while releasing IP.Download and Nexus.. as issues in these modules may have huge consequences.

It sounds like there's a specific issue you're referring to. As always if you're having a particular issue you'd like us to address, please contact us through a support request and I'm sure we can resolve any issue you're having.
If something's not been addressed to your satisfaction, please feel free to ask for the matter to be escalated - I'm happy to look into any issue regarding Nexus personally if it is preventing you from effectively using the product

Appreciate your interest, I will wait the 1.5.2 then will contact you if that issues will still exists.

Generally, FYI, I find IPB and its applications best solution for my needs and would recommend it to any of my friend, the only thing that surprised me is has Nexus was treated, at least for recent updates.

Well, I agree with DavidAM that Nexus needs to be updated or it will continue to lose out to WHMCS and many other client billing softwares.

Right now, web hosting, including VPS (which nexus does not support yet), is the main thing to earning customers.

WHMCS is capable of almost everything for web hosting, which makes it a selling product.

IPS needs to compete against WHMCS.

I just hope they won't give Nexus 1.5.2 for 3.4+ only.. this would be not fair.

Why would they do that ?

You'll have 1.5.2 way before 3.4 is even ready.
