I've spent hours and hours trying to get my old vBulletin 4 forum into IP Board. I have submitted a support ticket but with no response.

So far I've slowly managed to get my posts and threads back, but having had to do the entire conversion process 3 times. With an 8 year old forum and around 70,000 posts it isn't easy.

Now, the last remaining problem is that none of my attachments are showing up and I am getting a lot of errors saying attachment not found. Furthermore none of the galleries from vBulletin have shown up, even though we bought the IP add on and I have run the gallery conversion tool.

I understand that vB4 stores attachments in the database itself, therefore I am entering a "." in the value before conversion. It is showing 18,000 attachments and I can't seem to see any evidence that any attachments are there. In recent posts it just says [attach]12345[/attach] but no photo shows up. Neither do any of the photos in the albums, and some albums are missing.

Please can someone be kind enough to help? IP Board wasn't cheap for us and we would really be grateful if we could have it up and running

Welcome. Hopefully you should receive a reply to your ticket soon if not already.

Examine the /uploads directory, just look at a few subdirectories to see if the images have actually been converted across and put into the file system.

I was going to suggest moving them (in VB) to the filesystem before conversion but that should not be needed, and is more work.

Look in the /cache directory for a convertor_error_log.cgi file too, this should hopefully contain a few clues if there is a problem.
