18 downloadsClicking on "Album name" the albums are sorted Z to A i.e. descending. In my opinion it should be ascending. No where is it obvious that clicking again changes it to ascending.
Latest image which is the default that you get when you first navigate to the members gallery shows the oldest uploaded images first. Worse, if you have a whole lot of empty albums, it can be a number of pages before you actually get to some images. You can see this here in IPS's own gallery. Again, clicking on "Latest image" reverses the order and you get the latest images first. Next time you visit the gallery the sort option is remembered so I assume a cookie is used but it should be right first time around.
Highest rating - hallelujah, one that seems to work right
Clicking on "Most images" first time around gives you the least images first. Again if there are albums with no images you get a whole lot of blurry placeholders. Again if you know that clicking on the Most images link again you'll change the sort and actually get something useful. Bizarre!! What appears to happen once you get the sort order right for this one is a cookie is stored on your computer. When you come back to the gallery and click on "Most images" you'll get the correct descending order.
Click on "Most Comments". Same as "Most images". You get the images with the least amount of comments first the very first time you click on this sort option.
The following needs to be changed:
Alter the initial result to the most logical i.e. either ascending or descending for that particular sort option.
Instead of clicking on the sort option again, actually have an "Ascending" and "Descending" link or a toggle between the 2 states. Unless you're the developer of the gallery you wouldn't know or think to click on the sort option to change it. It needs to be clear for casual users (and not so casual users).
