Timezone Error Spitting on PHP 5.3

Posted by Yukiko on 27 October 2011 - 08:39 PM

Just got this errors on IP.Converge when setting up on a new server

IP.Converge WARNING [2] date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Los_Angeles' for 'PDT/-7.0/DST' instead (Line: 369 of /sources/ipsclass.php)

Edit your php.ini configuration and set date.timezone.  That is a proper fix that will resolve the warning, though we'll look to catch this in a future update.
