The space is too narrow, there's little I can do about it. There are a few other areas in IPB and the other addons too where something like that can happen.

Ignore my previous reply, I had another look at that template and something is not right.. that badge is not supposed to be on a different column

No, it isn't fixed yet. It requires to change quite a bit the whole template and if possible I prefer to keep such 'big' skin changes for a major version since this is only a minor display issue that doesn't really affect functionality or anything.
