trackback entry always gives invalid uri msg

I cannot say for sure this is a bug or just coincidence, but every time I try to enter a trackback code I get invalid uri (I not L ) message.
I could not find mention of this, but it may be pure coincidence and issue with the blogs I am linking to.

I missed this earlier, will look into it more.
cannot prove its NOT issue on the other end, I may just be hitting a lot of misconfigured ones.
