If someone registers on converge.. Never validates the account, and then logs into a converge enabled app.. They're going to have their account created, and be put in the members group automatically.

So.. This, in a way, totally seems to bypass the registration requirements.

That was part of the original design. For a future version we could look at expanding the statuses returned by Converge, and returning a "not validated" status of some sort.
