Not really a bug since it's been like that from the start and is working as intended but we can consider it.
This requires quite a fair bit of changes (and as I mentioned is not a bug as it was coded exactly to be like that since version 1.x), we'll keep it for the next major version and overhaul properly the whole edit area which is very basic right now.
