Promote article settings - fatal error

Posted by Axel Wers on 02 February 2012 - 06:45 PM

In ACP when I select under Promote article settings in section Can copy post to article some group(s) and the same groups I select in section Can move post to article, I get fatal error:

Warning: stripslashes() expects parameter 1 to be string,
array given in /root_path/admin/sources/base/core.php on line 5657

changed status to: Fixed
changed version to: No Version Assigned

I couldn't reproduce, however

1) I added protection to the method in core.php that would throw that warning (it's not an IP.Content issue)

2) I found a separate bug that may have been causing this that I fixed in the IP.Board settings save routine (again, not an IP.Content issue).

moved issue from IP.Content
changed version to: 3.3.0 Beta 1
changed fixed-in version to: 3.3.0 Beta 1

Try to select for example Admin group in both windows and hit Update Settings

I did.  I didn't get any error, however the second setting refused to save (my point #2 above that I fixed).  I toggled magic_quotes_gpc on and off locally and couldn't reproduce.

Note that I was testing locally, not on the test site.

That explains why you didn't get the same issue as me :D

On test board I have still this issue.

Yes, I haven't applied this to the test board yet but will do so today and verify if the error is resolved by the changes I made here.
