Upgrader errors

Posted by ΑndyF on 04 February 2012 - 08:03 AM

Slightly vague report but latest build. I thought I'd test with a 322 (had it to hand) db that had a few official and third party apps.

The upgrade completed fine, however clicking the "congrats" link threw an error:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in C:\_WAMP\www\_QA\323up\cache\skin_cache\cacheid_1\skin_boards.php on line 759

I do know there's a short delay on clicking that "contgrats" link while more work is done (I think), although it could not do it this time.

A glance at that and I thought it was just Gallery causing it, however attempting to disable Gallery via manage apps (or actually Blog or a third party app) immediately threw an error too:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in C:\_WAMP\www\_QA\323up\cache\skin_cache\cacheid_1\skin_gallery_global.php on line 142

It did disable the app, and I disabled all hooks and rebuilt the skin data and then recached. The board index was still inaccessible though. :)

Not sure but that second one seems to be related to subforums ?

I thought I'd see what was going on, I did a fresh 323 installation and Calendar, nothing more. Then I upgraded board. This was fine.

I'm not sure if its a one-off or if subforums can cause it. I'll do a bit more testing later and add to this.

OK, installed 323 afresh and created a subforum with some topics. Then upgraded, all was OK

Not quite sure how the above error occurred.

I am concerned about my post above where if there's a problem with the front end it causes problems disabling apps in the ACP.

May have to leave this until a few more can test it to see what is really going on as I'm not sure. :)

changed status to: Cannot Reproduce

Let us know if you can reproduce, Andy.
