I have installed ip.converge and tried to add a local backup copy of my forum that has address
http://localhost/mydomain/forum/
it gives me "Could not establish a connection with localhost"
changed the url to
http://127.0.0.1/mydomain/forum/
and problem was solved (New application registered)
I'm on Vista, with Apache 2.2 and php 5.2.1

Might be a vista bug, but I've connected it to localhost just fine. Did it yesterday with RC1 on a fresh install in fact.
Sorry to bump an old topic :P I'd think it is a vista bug (or somehow related), because I tried installing it on Vista Ultimate using WAMP Yesterday using RC2 Zend. You can install any other IPS product fine from a http://localhost/.. url but IP. Converge only takes it as http://127.0.0.1/(forum)
FYI : I'm on the newest WAMP which includes PHP5.2.4, MySQL 5.0.45 and Apache 2.2.4 :)

Oh! fortunely I found this topic using google. The same happens with Windows7 and Xampp
