#1889427 Invision Power Services Are Rip Offs & Thefs

Posted Lindy on 17 December 2009 - 01:20 PM

Hello,

It's difficult to address these matters in public. We keep logs, e-mails and all electronic communication -- I found yours from 2007 in which the transaction receipt was provided indicating the new owner paid you for the licenses and you authorizing the transfer (you specified "2 licenses.") This also had verification of your client area password, establishing that you were actually making the request. We do not allow a single license transfer - you may only sell the account, which is what you did.

This is exactly why we discourage license transfers to be honest. Many times, someone will sell a license, decide they wish they hadn't and then return, often years later, to reclaim it. We then dedicate hours of research time to determine who the rightful owner of the license is -- and 99% of the time, the current license holder is the rightful license holder.

I'm sorry you did not like the outcome of our investigation. You're free to contact me with any questions or concerns, however, this is not the appropriate place for further discussion.

Thank you.

#1855749 Eek! Search seems to look rather odd!

If you believe you've found bugs in the software, post it in the [url=http://forums.invisionpower.com/tracker/]bug tracker[/url}.

The issue with being a paying customer, but not marked as one has been taken hundreds, if not thousand, times.
In short, you have to log in with the same details as you use in your client area. And if you are, all you need to do is log out, and log back in again. If that doesn't solve your issue, file a ticket to account assistance.
