For all i know, they increase the prices for all addons fro IP.Board, even IP.board!
And, peoples aint noticing it..
Give the CUSTOMERS A BREAK WITH THE PRICES!
The pricing for IP.Board has been the same since 2006, with the exception of the introduction of discounts for customers who have multiple licenses.
The last pricing change to one of the addon applications was when we reduced the renewal fees on IP.Gallery from $15 per 6 months to $10 per 6 months.
All of our products are priced individually and we feel the pricing for IP.Nexus is very competitive for a business application featuring eCommerce, a support desk, an advertisement system and hosting management.
If you feel the pricing for IP.Nexus is too expensive, I would recommend looking into our hosted community options - on most packages, you can add IP.Nexus for just $5 per month, and get the other addons too. Please contact sales if you'd like more information about this.
Thanks

I mean you're refusing to let us help you. All the issues you are describing are either because you are unfamiliar with our software and its features or there could be an actual issue we need to fix. Of course we can't identify any possible issues if you don't let us help you.
In the time you have been going on in this topic you could have sent in a support request and already had a reply from our staff or even had your issues resolved.
At this point you just seem to be moaning for the sake of moaning and aren't really interested in solutions. Both our staff and your fellow IPS customers have offered lots of suggestions here and you're just not interested so I don't see where this is really going than lots of fist-pounding...
You're making a conscious decision to not let anyone here address your concerns so I'm at a loss.

One simple thing would be to add HOOK SETTINGS in Manage Hooks, right here:

The idea is to centralize everything in one area, save time!
Please consider this!

The IPS Marketplace is a new service that connects the many thousands of users of IPS community software with our talented community of authors who make many resources for IPS software.
IPS Marketplace features skins, hooks, graphics, applications, and more that work with the IPS community software platform. All are contributed by authors in our community. Many are free and some carry a small fee set by the author of the work.
This is a new benefit to active IP.Board license holders and Community Hosting clients. Browse the IPS Marketplace to find ways to enhance your community today!
How to Access
Just visit the IPS Marketplace and make sure you are logged in with the same email address and password you use to login to the IPS Client Area. This will automatically recognize your account and allow you access to all the free listings in the IPS Marketplace and allow you to purchase any paid listings.
IPS Marketplace App Coming Soon
We are developing an IP.Board application that will allow you to browse the IPS Marketplace from inside your IP.Board's AdminCP! This great tool will allow even easier access to resources, notify you of updates, and more. Beta testing of this fun app for IP.Board will start soon. Keep an eye on our company blog for information.
Resource Authors
Do you make resources for IPS community software? Anything from skins to hooks to full applications can be submitted to the IPS Marketplace. Both free and paid submissions are welcome. Read the submission guidelines for full information and start participating in the IPS Marketplace to gain greater exposure for your work.
About the Software
The IPS Marketplace is running on standard copies of IP.Nexus and IP.Downloads to demonstrate the power of the two software products working together.

#1969583 Profile Picture vs. Avatar

I really do love IP.Board, but I think there should be some simplification of the avatar/profile picture setup, or at least some way for board admins to control it better. Right now, each user can upload an 'avatar' – an image that represents them on the board – and a profile picture – an... image that represents them on the board? Yes, I understand that the latter is supposed to be for an actual picture of yourself, but that's not really clear unless you look at other people's profiles first.
But the placement of each is the most confusing. Your avatar is used in topics, in personal conversations, and a few other assorted places. Your profile picture is used in the box in the top right, in the gallery, in the blog, and in your profile. I don't really understand this placement, as it seems like each one is used randomly throughout half of the board. And if I, as the board administrator, don't understand it, I doubt my members are going to either. It's especially confusing when I'm browsing through topics, and I click on a user's username to go to their profile, and I'm greeted with a completely different picture. When I first checked out IPB 3.0, my initial thought here was, "Did I click the right spot? Am I in the right profile?"
In the old versions of IPB (talking about way back in 1.3 here), the profile picture was used in your profile, and your avatar was used everywhere else. I don't know what other people think, but at least to me, that kind of organization makes a lot more sense.
So would it be possible to do one of the following things?:
- Unify profile pictures and avatars. Honestly, it really is just confusing to keep them both, at least in the form they're in now.
- Provide some admin settings to select which is used there. If not the above, at least let us pick which image gets used in which place.
- Set it so that if a user only has one of the two images uploaded, have it display wherever the other image normally would. This is the least desirable solution, but may be the most immediately feasible. So, for example, if I had an avatar uploaded, but no profile picture, my avatar would show anywhere that the profile picture normally would.
#1963904 "Votebox" like feature

What I'm suggesting is a new community project, or extension to the existing tracker, for suggesting features, much like Votebox, which is Dropbox's customized feature tracking system.
Since you have to be logged in to see it I've taken a screen shot below:
The way they're system works is someone makes a single suggestion and people vote on it. The ones with the highest votes are at the top, and ones that are accepted/done get filtered out. They give their customers 5 votes total towards a particular feature that they want most. Later on they can choose to cancel that vote and put it towards another suggestion, or it's returned to them when a feature is accepted/completed. (There may be some details I may have gotten slightly wrong, but you get the general gist of it).
It would be a great way to gauge what people want most. Limiting how many votes each customer gets allows them to vote for what they want most (otherwise people would vote for everything, and then it would be pointless).
(If the same feature is suggested twice there should be a way to merge them together)
Would be more efficient than "+1 or Yes I agree!" stuff.
