I like having different sizes of images in the gallery and not just one.
Put something in the spiderbot to disallow other sizes but the size you want, ez.

Another issue is that Google is spidering the different image sizes by following the #imageOptions link leading to duplicate content issues as well.

rather than separate development for forum and gallery and all the other apps
if invision actually came up with a core upload/image handling engine that could be used for attachments, gallery and every other app
it could mean on the invision side less maintenance, less bugs, less work, less development
on the customer side members and admins would get a common and familar method of uploading across every part of site, less support and maintenance
a basic upload/image handling core engine - that all apps could easily hook into and use and extend if needed, why not?

I think the way your think IPS will have to recode the whole system and Gallery to make it work. That was done in the last version and well you see what we got. I think this upgrade coming is more on the side of adding back features and fixing others that are simple to make. Pipe dream I'm thinking is the idea. Compare to what is it currently and things that are going on with IPB.

I'll make you a deal, Weppa. If 2.3.2 does not solve the bug you are facing with regards to blocks+caching, I will personally (via our ticket system) research the issue on your site, implement a fix, and roll that fix into 2.3.3.
You have nothing to worry about that way. You have my word, if the issue is not fixed for you when 2.3.2 is released, I will patch your site directly myself.
(Disclaimer - this is not an open invitation regarding any and all bugs that may be found following release)

This shows how far IPS will go to help out a cusomter. 1000% great in that area!
