IPS has asked me to keep all ChatServe related topics on my own website. I won't respond to it here. http://www.nonamestudios.com/

We don't have a problem with "competition" - The issue is purely that we think it will lead to confusion about whether you need "ChatServe" to use IP.Chat, and related support issues when users have ChatServe troubles.

I decided to release ChatServe for IP.Chat as a free product. There will be a paid version of ChatServe the incorporates its own front end chat and video chat.

Hmm, that is a good point. I may go back and look over the pricing. I spoke at lengths with someone in the business of server software to set a price point.

I love the idea but I would never pay that much. You may need to rethink your pricing.

I personally would only switch if chatserve was cheaper than IPB chat.

I have ChatServe to a point of being as configless as possible. Upload/Drop in place, run a script that requires no information to be entered, and done!

Looks promising. Might ewant to check with IPS though before finishing. Just to make sure there won't be any issues.

80$ yearly for 250 users is ridiculous. Should be unlimited for a yearly renewal price of 20$. I don't think IPS will like you releasing a software that gives us the possibility to have "unlimited" users, because they want to sell their overpriced packet. I hope this software pass IPS. =)
