OK, if you allow guests to comment, they are asked for their name or sign in.  If they are not allowed to comment, they are not even asked to sign in at the very least.  Plus, the facebook and twitter icons for the sign in should also be included as well as the option to register.

Suggestion for the Comments System

This is kind of from a different topic but I want to talk about it more over here.

I am currently thinking of using LiveFyre to handle my comments.  It has a few features which I really like and I would want on my site.  Now, I really want to use the comments system that is already on the IP products but there are some things I would like to be added.
  • Threaded Comments - It made sense to remove them from the forum, but it's still the most popular way to handle comments on blogs and news sites.
  • Real Time Updating - Yes, this could be a resource intensive task and for that reason it should be made optional with the ability to choose how often the database is checked for new entries.
These things would greatly improve the comments system on IP.Content.
