I currently use IP.Board 2.3.6 and monetise my community using the Subscriptions module.
Firstly, I've seen quite a bit of negativity from fellow Subscriptions-users regarding the switch to Nexus, I'm basically seeking some reassurance that whatever issues existed - are now gone. Existing Nexus users please speak up.
Our subscription package(s) are critical to the success and continuation of our site, so I need to be 100% sure that Nexus is the right path to take, as I'm sure you'll understand.
My questions:
- I'd like to set up a subscription package that is billed quarterly, except the initial payment, which will be a one-off amount. Is this possible?
- Referring to the above question, how does this tie-in with PayPal and automatic renewals.
- Is it possible to have one package/membership but multiple billing options (Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly etc)?
- If so, can the price change depending on the option taken, for example to lower the overall cost slightly for an up-front yearly payment?
- If I have a user that cancels his/her subscription via PayPal, what is the situation thereafter? For example, does he/she still get an invoice which can be paid (and an option to set up the subscription with PayPal again)?
- Is there a settable duration period in which users have to pay their invoice before the subscription is cancelled/terminated?
- Finally, why should I use Nexus over the IP.Subscriptions module?
