As an addition to the bug fixes in the editor, that I think absolutely imperative for IPB's future, I'd just like to suggest two minor suggestions that my users asked me.
 

1. The ability for people to save directly their messages, as an addition to the auto save that is made. What I would actually like (if it's not already possible) is that users be able to click on a "save" button so that their posts can be saved in the database until they are submitted. Exactly as the auto-save, but adding a manual ability to do that.

 

2. The possibility, when using the plain text editor, to still click on the BBCode buttons, in order to use BBCode. For the moment, when we're typing text within IPB's plain text editor, we have to add manually the BBCode tags. What I would like would be the ability for my users to highline their text, for example, an then (to quote an example that my users brang to me) to click on the "center" button, so that the opening and closing center tags appear directly in the message, surrounding the text that has been highlined.

 

I hope my two suggestions are comprehensible enough, as I'm not a native english speaker.

I don't know if this is currently possible, but as I believe it isn't, I would like to suggest you to create an option for users to upload text documents in their albums/categories (.doc, or even .txt would be fine if it was editable).

A bit like in DeviantArt (example : http://atsuki-sahant...lubre-293480347)

 

Why ? Simply because people not only take photos, or draw, but also write texts, and because unfortunately, having their artistic creations at different places isn't very pleasant, I believe.

Would it be possible to display a gallery category into a forum, as if it was a subforum, and not directly on the index page ? Dunno if I'm understandable...

Because the option to show a gallery category on the forum is... quite restrictive, as we can only display them on the index page.

I have noticed only super-moderators can moderate the calendar...
But I beleive that, for communities for wich the calendar is important, having specific moderators for it would be great, definitively...
So just wanted to suggest it

Hello,

I just would like to suggest something, as IPS Tech told me it didn't exist, yet : be able to sort skins and help files into different folders.

What I mean is that I have lots of help files, and lots of skins, and, in order to have a well-organized community, and to help my members finding easier their content, I believe it would definitively be great to create folders (or categories, call that as you want) for skins and help files.

I hope I'm comprehensible enough ^^'
