PayPal Adaptive Payments support

21 April 2012 - 06:07 AM

I'd really like to see support for Adaptive Payments.  Basically, this service is for stuff like sites selling on commission where PayPal splits the money at the source (payment) and directly deposits the commission into the site owner's account and the amount less commission into the recipient's account.  Basically, it would give sites who sell stuff on behalf of members the option to do away with the collect money > request payout > payout process and just drop the money into authors' accounts at the time of purchase while still getting their cut.

IPS Marketplace authors would love you forever too.

Custom fields for packages (no, not that kind)

06 April 2012 - 11:05 PM

This is mostly useful for people using Nexus to sell physical products, but for online sellers with accounting systems outside of Nexus this could also be useful - the ability to attribute custom attributes to products that are static to the product/package and passed around with API calls, custom actions, and potentially data exports.

As an example, you could add a UPC or SKU attribute for your product containing the UPC of a product you're selling, so that you can search Nexus for the product by simply scanning the barcode - of course this means the custom attributes would have to be searchable too :).

Support ticket email loop prevention

01 October 2011 - 12:42 AM

Nexus could really benefit from the ability to detect when it's stuck in an email loop and stop handling emails for that ticket (and especially stop creating new tickets).

I currently have one individual who uses their support email as their account email on my forum, and every time they receive a new post notification their Nexus install fires back a new ticket to let me know that it's processed my email into a ticket - which promptly gets picked up by my support system and a new ticket is generated, which sends back a new ticket notification - to their Nexus installation.  Thankfully, there's no notification that the ticket reply was received, but if there were... (or if there is, my Kayako installation is eating it).

Auto-applied coupons (promotional prices, etc)

26 June 2011 - 07:38 AM

I'd like to see the ability to create a coupon which so long as it hasn't expired or been consumed is automatically applied to all orders unless a coupon  has been explicitly provided by the purchaser.  This would allow such deals as "half price for the first 50 customers" where a half price coupon with 50 uses is set to automatically apply, and after 50 uses it expires like normal putting prices back to pre-sale levels.

This would greatly improve automation for stores with larger volumes (or lazy administrators).
