Reconversion for Lost Admin & BBCode

11 November 2012 - 12:04 PM

During the conversion process, I made the mistake of having the IPB board admin account match the username of my admin from the other board and the owner's email. Needless to say, my admin became "Guest__*" and the IPB admin merged with the owner, but while posts from the old forums show his name and profile link, they don't register as belonging to him (post count, join date, search for posts by him). If I do a reconversion,

-Do I need to do the entire process or just the members? Should I change the old forum (PHPBB 3) admin accounts so they have unique names and emails and then do a merge on the IPB after?

-Does running the conversion again lose any new content that's been posted to IPB since?

-Is there a simpler way to just bring over the two members?

Additionally, the way we had setup to do Youtube BBcode only used the youtube id tag and embedded it into iframe code. So we ended up with a bunch of broken youtube videos (since only the id tag came over, not the whole url). Is there a way to fix this, or would I need to fix the urls by means of running a regular expression to append the "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" to the id itself?

SSL Warning after Conversion

09 November 2012 - 01:40 PM

When users now navigate to the forums, they receive a warning about a mismatch in the security certificate. My hosting company told me this is a htaccess problem for the forum directory. How would I fix this in IPBoard so users aren't getting that warning?

"This is probably not the site you are looking for!
You attempted to reach gymnasticbodies.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as www.gymnasticbodies.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of gymnasticbodies.com.
You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site."
