Not deleted, but I did a Move instead of a copy when they were promoted. So now all that original topic has in it is a link to the article.

Okay, that's how I thought it worked. It would be really nice though if we had the option to make it not so. 
All of these older topics of mine that I'm migrating to IP.C will not have any comments, and that makes them seem awfully lonely and un-useful sitting there in IP.C all neglected.

Ok I've tried it both ways and no comments come over. I'll put in a ticket.

So to get the topic replies to be promoted as comments to the new article, I should NOT check the box that says, "Use original topic for article comments?", right?

Well I could even live with that, I could delete the replies from the topic if I had to, in order to prevent duplicate content issues with Google. What do I have to do to get the topic replies to be entered as comments to the promoted article? I just promoted an article and that didn't happen.
