#1891247 IPS Add-Ons (Blog, IDM, IP.G)

Posted Nuclear General on 23 December 2009 - 12:33 AM

Hello,

Will there be an option to use the 2.0.x, 3.0.x style of the Blogs, IDM, IP.G? TBH, I really don't like the new looks of IP.B, IP.D and IP.G. They just look retarded. Kinda like a 4 year old would make... The blog has no color to it anymore and these "sidebars" get annoying all the time... It's just a stupid way of putting the stats in a sidebar... The main blog view just looks like... well, you know... crap. The entry view looks even worse, when I first installed the beta, I couldn't find my around to find the edit, feature ect links. The IP.D sidebar is not needed IMO. It just takes up too much room and leaves a big whitespace on the side. The big green "Download Now" button looks stupid. If some can't find the regular "Download" link in 2.0.x, then they must not be looking hard enough if you put a bigger button in.... And all the stats were pretty much changed/altered drastically in 2.1.x.  The gallery looks alot worse now... the main view is plain now, and has weird colors. The image view should have stayed the same. It looked better. I'd would rather like to use the first 2.0.x, 3.0.x style of IP.B, IP.D & IP.G. They look better... And don't take offense to this... I'm just stating my honest opinions on the new x.1.x versions of the IPS Apps. All I am asking is that there be option to use the previous version style. They looked sooo much better and was easier to access. And this whole post may sound rude in some way, but part of it is just my very honest opinion on the updated versions...

#1872845 Maximum downloads per day?

Maximum downloads per day?
Maximum number of files each member in this group may download in one day

Can this be done by Category and not by Group?

#1880075 IP.Subscription Coupon/Promotion Idea

Posted Chris R on 17 November 2009 - 11:58 AM

Wasn't too sure where to post this...

I have a few ideas that I think would be beneficial for IP.subscriptions though.

Coupon Codes
This would work like coupon codes you see at any major retailer. A code that would take a certain percentage off a package, or knock it down to a certain price. For simplicity sake, you could just enter a set amount the coupon code reduces the price to.

Promotional Things
Perhaps an option where someone could get a subscription free for 30 days, or a coupon code that does this?

Here's the idea behind this idea.
I was thinking about printing out some promotional info on my new site I'm working on to give out at events. These would have code(s) on them for free premium memberships or whatnot. I think it'd be a pain to have unique codes on each one, but it would be nice if something like this could work.Posted Image

#1849106 Suggestion for IP.Downloads + IP.Subscriptions

Posted Br4nd0nW on 26 August 2009 - 10:21 AM

I think it would be very useful if you could make it so files require a certain subscription to download. Like, when you upload a file and you're entering the information for it you could select a subscription package that you'd have to have purchased in order to download the file.

This isn't directed at the software but at an individual, maybe consider a feeback spot for staff or devs or whatever.

I have to say that out of everyone (everyone being staff/devs in this case) who is here, terabyte has helped me (with code error) more than all other staff/devs combined. He's a credit to the dev team and knows his stuff.

Not long winded today so to sum it up: Thanks tb for your assistance buddy and thanks to whomever put him as a dev.

peace

#1819900 What needs to be done for 3.0.1

Posted rbiss on 03 July 2009 - 08:14 PM

I've been talking about this since the first day of IP3 previews in 2008. My hunch is now supported by feedback from my membership.

View New Posts and Today's Active Posts.

View New Content is a step down from View New Posts. Not sure what prompted it but it makes no sense. People want to follow their own threads through that feature. Was it that difficult to keep their own read posts in it? I'm trying to understand the logic for making that change.

Both of the above also need reference to the original posters in threads.

Without reverting back to those features it doesn't matter how much better the rest of the board is. They immediately detract from what should be a huge leap forward.
