You can already do that with WebDAV template editing.
I've already discussed with Mark about the time it takes to save files using WebDAV making it unusable. It's quicker to save templates in the ACP.

What specific changes would you like to see to the member list While I do agree profiles have lots of room for improvement i'm a little bit curious as to what you would like to see the member list offer that it doesn't already offer. I agree it is rather cumbersome to just a list of thousands of users but how do you propose we improve that?

That might explain the problems I had then, as its not something I'd use usually. I'd have to suggest a bug report as either it should be removed from the .zip or ideally updated so it works.
Then again, we have this feedback topic...

There's a skinchange.php in the tools folder. That would be my initial suggestion for the moment.
I'll admit when I tried it a while back I could not get it to work exactly as I expected but put that down to other factors rather than the tool itself.

This is precisely why you're allowed a test board - to see whether the software is suitable for you.
Frankly, it's your fault if you installed it without (1) testing the software yourself and (2) being 100% happy with what the software does.

Well, we don't know how long it will take for HTML5 to become the real standard of web. IE7 and 8 don't support it, but many admins of different forums/projects say that IE7 and 8 are really important for them.

I agree that 3.1 is hard to skin specially comparing it to 2.3 which was much easier to skin.
I made a few skins for 2.3 but have not even come close to deciphering 3.1 to be able to make skins.
