About This File

The FAQ System allows Administrators to create custom questions and answers and display them anywhere on their site.

  • Uses the full IPB Editor to support BBCode and/or HTML formatting
  • Group Questions into FAQ Collections to show different questions on different pages
  • Integrates with IPB Help Files - include existing help files in a custom collection
  • Display Collections easily on any page, in any IPS component
  • Answers are displayed in a popup window so users are not taken to another screen
  • IP.Content block included

Note: This is the 3.x-compatible version. For 4.0, see http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/7612-faq-system/

Not at the moment, no. All configuration is done from inside the ACP. Perhaps I'll add a public side for the next version.

Hello,

1.- By saying that FAQ can be include in any page in any plugin, do you mean that there is a tag for inclusion to add in the template?

2.- Answers appear in popup or below the question as I see in the screenshots?

You can see a demo of it here: http://forum.avsim.net/faq/. Please keep in mind that we are still developing our FAQ system, so what you see here is not really fully populated. A very good add-on for us and well worth the investment. Thanks Eshter!

I just purchased the mod and am installing it.

Looks good, so far.

Is there a way for users to SEARCH the FAQ's?

What about adding a TAG field?

Thanx

Neil

1. Yes.
2. Depends where you are. If you're viewing the FAQ from its own public pages (meaning, the user is actually visiting the FAQ application), then it's on the page. All other locations will show it in a popup.

Both excellent suggestions, and I will definitely add them to my enhancement list for the next release. No timetable for that right now, though.

As soon as I can add moderators who can add to/build FAQ's via a web-panel instead of the ACP, I'm in ! ;-)

Posting here because almost no one is following the support topic.

I am looking for beta testers for the 4.0 version of this mod. If you are interested in testing (even if you have not purchased the 3.x version), please PM me.

Thanks.
