  1. 4.0 - IPS Connect

Sounds nice but I hope that the documentation gets an overhaul too. It's kinda lacking and there are a bunch of typos/errors in the example code.   It's a lot better than IP.Converge though

  10. Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Preorder

You press the 6 and 4 keys while booting. There seems to be no point in doing so though since all apps that are 64 bit will still run in 64 bit mode even if you don't (just check the activity monitor). The only difference is that it loads the 64 bit kernel and kernel extensions. Edit: oops a bit late :P
  11. Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Preorder

Just finished a clean install of Snow Leopard on my iMac and everything seems a lot faster :) Apple still haven't made the 64-bit kernel default though ... I guess its because of 3rd party drivers or something like that.
  12. Mount HDDs in ubuntu

    Changed the fstab entry to /dev/sdc1 /mnt/backup ext3 rw,user,noauto,exec 0 0 and now it works :)
  13. Mount HDDs in ubuntu

I have already edited the fstab file .../dev/sdc1 /mnt/myBackup ext3 user, noauto 0 0 Here is says that the user option should permit any user to mount the filesystem. :ermm:
  14. Mount HDDs in ubuntu

I recently added two new HDD to my PC (ububtu 9.04). I'm going to use the first one for backup and I want the backup script to mount/unmout it. The problem is that this fails mount /dev/sdc1 /mnt/myBackup ... it just results in I added this to fstab and rebooted but it does not help /dev/sdc1 /mnt/myBackup ext3 user, noauto 0 0 I want the second HDD to automatically mount at "/home/<user>/Virtualbox". I tried adding /dev/sdb1 /home/<user>/Virtualbox ext3 defaults 0 0 but I'm unable to write to it. Anyone know what to do?
