Nervosa added a topic in Company Feedback[Suggestion] FB Social PluginI noticed this on a site today and thought it would be really nice for gallery comments and extra comments for articles / pages (not so much forums)
You can eiter vist the link or look at the attached image.
This is a plug in that allows you to use facebook as your commenting system. I believe implementing something like this would be every helpful to every community. Allowing friends of users to see your site and content from yourself and maybe in-turn, become a new member.
Here is the FB page about it: http://developers.fa...lugins/comments

Nervosa added a topic in IP.Gallery[Suggestion] Add YouTube videos. How about an easy way to add YouTube videos to gallery? (or other media sites)
1. Saves on bandwidth.
2. YouTube is more popular then your site. It would seem redundant for the user to add there videos to YouTube and your site when they can just use the media code in the forums.
3. We can already embed videos in the forums.
Currently if we want to add a video from YouTube (or another site) we have upload a image and then link the video using the media code.
It would be a lot easier and more user friendly if there was an option somewhere "allow off site video".
Then when the user goes to upload they would see the same screen they see now with a new button "Click To Attach Embedded Media".
This will give them a screen with Title, URL Address, Description and Copyright. Same as the images but with add field URL acting as the media tag.

Nervosa added a topic in Product FeedbackSuggestion: Allow users to remove themselfs.Every so often I'll get a PM from a user saying they want to delete there account and I usually just ignore it.
I would like to give users the option to "remove" themselfs from the community, yet I would like to keep the content they made and have a record of the users info. Could there be an option for the user to sudo-delete themselves.
There would be an option in the user cp "close account".
Clicking this the user would have to re-enter there PW, read some text about how there posted content will say but there name avatar and other identifying markers will be removed (names will be changed to something like "deleted user" ) and they will no longer be able to access the account. Click a OK check box and hit enter.
The users name and other info about them would still be available to the admin, if it is ever needed.
Doing it this way will allow admins to reactivate the account in the event the user logged in at a library and someone managed to close the account.

Nervosa added a topic in IP.ContentSearch everything in Content. In the top search bar when, I want to search for something, I get zero results because it defaults to "Pages".
I have to go to the "Search in" drop down and pick the database I want to look in. This isn't helpful for users coming to your site looking for information.
I bet more then half the time users will see zero results, think there isn't anything related and leave.
Say I want to view all the "HOWTO" articles in the IP.Content Resources Section
So I type in Howto, click the resources radio button and hit enter.
I get "No results found for 'howto'."
If I didn't give up because of that, I have to pick "Community-Contributed Articles" from the drop down menu (If I didn't know where they where I wouldn't know to pick this) then do another search to finally get what I was looking for.
Because of this it seems very pointless to even create an elaborate database system.
So I ask
1. Is there a way to search all databases when useing search in IP.C
2. I see I'm able to search comments, can this be turned off.
3. Search results. What template do I edit to remove who posted the article/page etc.

Nervosa added a topic in IP.Content[Suggestion] Make creadcrumbs for IP.C like other IPS Apps.http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/321846-moving-ccs-breadcrumb-into-secondary-nav-breadcrumb/page__view__findpost__p__2024100
Can we get IP.C breadcrumbs moved into the secondary_nav div like other IPS apps? If not, could we at least have an option to have one way or the other?
