  2. login with email now?

since when do we have to login to the site with our emails and not our username?
  3. not sure if bug on the calendar or what?

  6. auto following

  7. IP.Board 3.2.0 - Visual Skin Editor

what about the hover color on links, are those able to be changed? im guessing they are.
  8. still no pagination?

that just lists them.. does not keep current with the most recent blog posts..
  9. auto following

i think there should also be an option to set whether i want to auto follow topics started by me. unless im confused and the option to auto follow all topics i reply to is included in that. if thats the case that settings wording needs some adjusting. if the former, there should be the option to have every topic i start auto followed and be able to select if i want it right away, every day, etc like the other option. on a diff note, i think by default it should be that everyone has it set to auto follow every topic they start. i know many of times ive run across a forum for something i need at the time and made a post only to forget about it quickly and never know if there were any replies.. if they dont like that they are getting updates then they can come back and change the setting, at least the user would be coming back. to me, i would rather go back to a site to change that setting or unfollow a particular topic that didnt mean anything to me anymore then to have it lost in the abyss of my cluttered mind..
  10. i still think that there should be a quick button at the top of the "edit profile" page or at the very lest put it in the breadcrumb.. going up to the user bar at the top to select the drop down, then select "my profile" seems unnatural and not quick enough..
  11. still no pagination?

how come this isnt in the new blog system? once you get to the bottom you should be able to see more right?
  12. neowin going custom..

  14. neowin going custom..

what does IP think about this? We're upgrading our forums this weekend to IPB 3.1 "Starting sometime this weekend, we will be upgrading our forums to Invision Power Board 3.1 which was released in the summer, and has since seen 4 minor updates taking our version directly to 3.1.4. Neowin has never jumped on first time releases due to the complexity of our skin and inevitable bugs that crop up after major versions are rolled out. Atlas has been updated to include all of the new social connectors that have been added to the forum software. Please note that we will be upgrading with just one color, that being our trademark (light) blue default parent skin. The forums can then undergo a live test period so we can iron out any bugs we've missed, before we do the rest of the colors. The skin was outsourced to and it will be our last (major) IPB update. Future plans involve Neowin creating its own "Ignition" forum software, that will be built alongside our custom Content Management System. The initial database development and coding has already started which means that we will no longer have to continually modify the forum software to make it do what we want. Upgrading major versions are a real pain unless we want a "vanilla" experience, and we've never had that since we first started using IPB back when it first released in 2003. 2011 will bring a further customized experience for our readers, and we hope that by launching IPB 3.1.4 we can get an idea of what is really important to our readership when we eventually move to our own custom forum software."
