  3. Website Promoting

Thanks guys. Will get into social networking
  4. Website Promoting

Just after some feedback, I am at bit of a loss. I have a new website, no issues there. No activity yet. No issues there either. It can take quite some time, being realistic. However, trying to promote it seems to be incredibly difficult. Here are the issues so far. Promoting in game specific forums is a no no, apparently. As I have been finding out, event something as simple as a signature. I know how google works, and have done everything possible with sitemap etc.  Just after some suggestions on the way forward. Something that will help others as well. Do remember everyone starts somewhere.
  5. iOS App?

IPS is mobile friendly out of the box. However if you are looking for a mobile app, then no their isn't one, not yet anyway. This is something IPS is looking at getting developed. As far as Tapatalk goes, it has terrible issues with IPS and I strongly recommend against it.
  6. Positive Feedback

We hear a lot of negative feedback from the users, and not much positive. For me the transition was painless, maybe having a member base of 2 helped somewhat. We all start somewhere. But as far as features go, and how IPS is more than just a forum, with the right addons available. I love it. I do have less at stake than the larger sites, as my site id built for no other reason than I love doing it, not financial gain will be made from it. Call it a hobby. Over the years I have played with many forums, and have found that they all have their shortfalls, some more than others. It is always difficult to choose a suite that suits your needs the best, and when you do, you will wonder if you made the right choice. I will go out on a limb here and say many many people love IPS for what it is, and where it is going. You need to put things into perspective with this statement. Consider how many actual customers there really are, to how many people may be having problems. Not saying we should disregard those though. Of course there is room for improvement, and I would love to see some more features. But those are certainly not in any way persuading me to change to another software package. To the staff of IPS, well done in implementing the changes so far, there have been some major developments. I very much look forward to what comes next. Thankyou
  7. Searching on Forums is totally unreliable

It's a mysql thing, nothing to do with IPS The magic of google.
  8. Ah. Ok. Now I understand what you are saying.
  9. They can be overwritten per forum if you choose. You may choose open/closed per forum
  10. Go to the forum itself, edit the forum. Then click the Posting settings tab
  11. It is per forum. Go to your forum in the admin area, click on the Posting Settings, down the bottom is the tags.
  12. convert big VB forum to IPS

This is if you want an IPS tech to convert for you. This will give you the assurance that you will not lose the features you have mentioned and that the transfer goes smoothly. There is a beta conversion tool available free of charge.  Note that this is a beta. My suggestion if you are not overly familiar with IPS is to employ the services of IPS staff or one of the following.
