Can I just say that I love the look and feel of version 4 so far?  It's what prompted me to purchase another license.  Keep up the great work! :)

    Oh wow!  That's awesome!!

Better emoticon organization. My community LOVES emoticons (as do I) and wish that we could have categories for them and a better way to see them in the editor.

    Oh and a better editor.

Multiple shops -- individual member stores
I know this has been mentioned somewhere along the line -- but would it be possible to add a feature that would allow members to set up their own shops? Right now, it appears that this *could* happen but all of the work to set up the shop, add the inventory, create the pages, etc. lies on the admin's shoulders. I think it would be great to allow members to add their own shop (much like they can add their own blog) and maintain it. :)

    multiple shops within Nexus?
I am considering Nexus for my community.

I know this is not a feature at the moment (at least not from what I am seeing with the demo) but will there be enhancements in the future to include the ability of members to start their own shops? Much like members can add their own blogs? :)

    Oh really?! That's awesome! :)
  8. Kellie added a post in a topic Help me understand this licence renewal stuff

Okay so let's say that I decide to make a new purchase of one of the IPB addon-apps I do not currently have for my community. My license is up for renewal in May. So, if I make the purchase today, the $10 renewal fee will get tacked on to what I will already owe in May. So instead of paying $45 every 6 months, I would pay $55 starting in May, correct? So really, I wouldn't get the chance to have my *6 months* out of the product before I have to pay the renewal fee because the product would get lumped in to my community cost.

Of course, I can deactivate the products and reactivate them at any time. But if I deactivate my blog tomorrow, I would have to pay $10 to reactivate it. So then, if my community license comes up for renewal in 2 weeks, I would have to pay the entire fee (which would include the $10 for the blog I just paid $10 to reactivate).

Am I understanding this correctly? I just want to make sure because I want to purchase another app for my community but need to be aware that if I do that today, I add another $10 to my community-renewal fee in May.

In that case... I think it's time for more praising. Can the praise come from the same people or do we need to switch it up? ;)

To answer the OP, I feel very strongly that the folks an Invision strive to provide the best product and service that they can. Thus far, I feel that they have delivered a solid product and continue to innovate and move forward.

I've never experienced their hosted-service so I can't speak from experience about that.

That is awesome, Charles!! Thank you so much!! You guys rock!! :)

Any planned changes for the blog app?
I would love to use the IPB blog app exclusively as the front-end to the voice of my community (right now I have a Wordpress front end and use the blog in the backend only for members who want a blog). However, it is kind of lacking in features and there are not many blog plugins available in the marketplace to help enhance functionality. Is this app slated to receive any additional functionality in the future?

I also want to mention that I am a big fan of this forum software. I converted from vB about three years ago and have been pleasantly surprised, impressed and excited about all of the changes, upgrades and enhancements you guys have made to the software thus far! Your customer service is by far the best! Keep up the great work!

+1 this is an issue for me as well. My community complains about the lack of ease and organization of the emoticons constantly.

Love this!! My members will be so stoked! They have often wanted to keep track of who reps them (so they could thank them).
