If you think someone changed your code, can you find the modified adsense code? If the publisher ID is not yours then you'll know for sure (and you could report it to Google)

This happens with any conversation that has over 1000 responses.

Ok, thank you. I misunderstood you because you changed the status of my ticket to "Awaiting Customer Action" when normally tickets stay "Open" when an issue is being investigated.

I understand, but you said that you will look into it "in a future release" and put my ticket on hold. This is quite a serious issue (especially considering that the messenger produces tons of errors and can put the site offline), so I expected someone to patch my site rather than wait days/weeks for the next release.
    That's a good thing, right?

"IPS4 is not designed for very long conversations"
I really respect IPS4 for all the hard work they do on this software and I try my best not to post angry messages every time I upgrade and plenty of things break but this is unbelievable.
After upgrading to 4.0.10, users are not able to open long personal messages and get an EX error. Support response?
"Very long PM conversations is not something to product was originally designed to do. We will look into it in a future release but for now please just advise users to start a new conversation."
I couldn't believe this response was even real. Somehow long personal messages weren't a problem in any release prior to 4.0.10, and suddenly, the software is not designed for long conversations?
Anyway, if anyone who has a large forum is wondering if they should upgrade to 4.0 -- my advice is -- don't.

YES YES YES please. I posted this before, it should be configurable at least per app.

    Mass delete personal messages
Please add the ability to mass delete personal messages. It's extremely annoying to have to go through each one and leave it when your inbox is full.

    Anyone?

    Topic custom fields - possible?
I want to be able to create custom fields for topics, just like records in Record image. For example, I want to have a field called "Source" for users to post a link to where they found the information they are posting. Also it would be cool to be able to upload a Topic image (like Record image) and display them in feeds.
    Is it possible?

  10. Kirill N added a post in a topic Closed/open tagging system for different forums

Thanks for the responses everyone but this is really something that should be doable without a plugin.
At least there should be an option to make tags closed/open by app.
Right now I have closed tags on my forums (just like this site), because letting users write their own tags would be messy and inconsistent. However, for my Pages articles I want to have an open system, because I choose the tags myself, and, for example, for any post about the UK I would have a "UK" tag, so that when someone lands on such article, they will also see other UK-related posts in "Similar content" = more engagement. @Matt @Lindy

Closed/open tagging system for different forums
I would like to have some forums use pre-defined tags, while others have an open tagging system. Is it not possible?

Editor: Embedding content and empty line breaks
I understand that it's not possible to switch to a different editor at the moment, but I have to bring up the biggest (in my opinion) advantage of Redactor over Ckeditor. When you post a link to a photo or video in Redactor, it embeds immediately, so fast that you don't even see the link. In Ckeditor, however, you need to hit Enter for the link to turn into embedded content, and even if you do, it doesn't work half of the time and users are confused as to whether they need to wait for another minutre, or hit Enter until it finally embeds, or reload the page. Hitting Enter is the most popular option though this is why a good number of posts on my site end up looking like this:

    So my suggestion is either:
    a) Do something about the editor so that it embeds stuff like Redactor.
    b) If possible, have it detect empty like breaks and remove them.
    Thanks

Please make automatic embedding of topics optional
I've been trying to bring this to IPS staff's attention for months with no success but I'll keep trying because this is important...
Please make an option to disable automatic embedding of topics. I was told in a support ticket that the embed does not try to load the entire topic, but I refuse to believe this is true because the time it takes for it to load grows proportionally with the amount of responses a topic has. If a 1-page topic is embedded, it loads instantly, but if it's a 1000-page topic, the circle can be spinning for like half a minute. This is bad for site performance. Not to mention that those embeds are just ugly and unnecessary.
