I have a big busy forum, so we have decided to wait a bit to be safe. Still on 3.4.x
IPB4 looks awesome and will knock the sh*t out of the competition. Kudos to the team!

I can't upgrade without this single feature as I have multiple domains that requires a RSS feed from my forum.
    Checking out the marketplace now....

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but it's a fantastic idea. I am interested in paying for this.
  7. thaivisa added a post in a topic Search improvement suggestion: advanced options for Sphinx users

It should work with same search syntax as Google search, to make it easy for the users.

How do you set that up in Sphinx?

Will this plugin store the users email address in the forum database?

Or will it be a cryptic set if numbers as when people register via Facebook?

It works here on a test board. But it only archives 41 topics at a time, and I have to manually start it from scheduled task every time. In scheduled task manager it should run every 15 minutes, but it does not.

Maybe I should run it as a cron job instead?

Where in ACP is this setting?

sdcard sdram, so what, you should be able to understand my point without going off topic. The point is that unless it has substantial advantage over using the mobile skin we're not going to bother with it.

I think you are the one who has been misled. Programs on Android phones must fit into a limited amount of internal memory space. Yes there are some hacks that can expand that space, but it is still limited.

I have a HTC Desire, not the Z or HD but the original one. While it has a 16 GB memory card usable for storage of music and pictures and such stuff, programs must fit into an internal 125MB memory area of which currently 22MB are free. I keep running into this limitation and have to delete something whenever I install other stuff. Newer phones have more memory but this phone is just over a year old, should I throw it away? I run the latest Gingerbread version of Android and all the programs that can have been moved to SDRAM (this only moves part of the programs anyway).

If you know that "the app is going to have many features when it's done" maybe it would have been more productive listing these features instead?

    Android App
For quite a while now we've been testing the new Android App beta version.

As it is now it does not seem to provide anything that isn't already in the mobile skin, and as such we don't understand the point of making the app.

Who is going to waste limited memory resources on a mobile phone for an app that doesn't provide any functionality other than what exist in the mobile browser skin already.

We would very much like to see at least basic moderator functions such as topic and post management built into the app.
