  1. Who is responsible for the IPS community site in technical assistance? Got an error with CloudFront, created a conversation with you. If there is another person who is responsible for things like that, please tell me and I will add him / her.

  2. My users hate the activity stream

I'm not sure what you mean. Version 4.1.8.1 did not touch the Activity Streams. Why would you want to shut them off? They exist to help users find things. You can always just remove the links to them if for some reason you do not want your users to be able to discover content more easily.
  3. Version change log?

It would not really be a good use of our time to just copy/paste the bug tracker list into release notes when there are handy filters already there if you are interested Most clients are not really interested in reading pages of fixed items. We do highlight anything of interest in the release notes though.
  4. My users hate the activity stream

Activity Streams are not private as they are really just a selection of filters and settings. What is actually shown to the end user is only what that user has permission to view.
  5. 4.1.9

This release is still in development and does not yet have a release date. This is a maintenance release that fixes reported issues from clients in our bug tracker and support tickets. In addition to many smaller fixes this release includes fixes for: Sitemaps can sometimes be blank if there is no content in a specific section which Google does not appreciate Certain URLs from version 3 may not redirect properly to the new version 4 format Some BBCode does not parse correctly in version 4 and we have applied some fixes for this. In general BBCode is deprecated so we only provide basic support. The posting parser has been made more efficient. The timezone detection is now more robust and will more gracefully fail if it cannot determine a visitor's timezone.
  6. DayZ Forums Hacked (runs IPBoard)

It is hard to confirm but it appears they may have been running and outdate version of our software with known security issues.
  7. Version change log?

You can look at the bug tracker and sort by version if you are curious. As with most commercial software products, we do not really provide a list of issues fixed.
  8. Maintenance in Progress message in other languages

It is the upgrading.html page in the root of your Suite.
  9. I do feel you may just have very different expectations. As others have pointed out here, we do provide good support. Sure we sometimes make mistakes but we do try to serve all our clients. Take your most recent ticket for example: You submitted ticket: 20 January 2016 - 02:31 AM IPS staff replied: 20 January 2016 - 02:38 AM (7 minutes later - we were asking for more information) You replied: 20 January 2016 - 02:41 AM You replied again: 20 January 2016 - 02:43 AM You replied again: 20 January 2016 - 03:05 AM You replied again: 20 January 2016 - 03:47 AM (it was at this point you become unhappy in the ticket - 1 hour and 16 minutes in) IPS staff replied: 20 January 2016 - 04:54 AM (at this point we were very confused what was going on) You replied: 20 January 2016 - 05:31 AM IPS staff replied: 20 January 2016 - 05:47 AM You replied: 20 January 2016 - 05:56 AM You replied: 20 January 2016 - 06:04 AM IPS Staff replied: 20 January 2016 - 06:26 AM We never heard from you so IPS staff again replied as a follow up: 22 January 2016 - 03:29 AM We have not received any replies from you since 20 January 2016 - 06:04 AM. From the time the ticket was opened to the last we heard from you just 3 hours and 35 minutes elapsed. I personally feel that's very good support. I am extremely confused why you chose to post this topic rather than simply replying to our staff so they can further assist you. In the time you took to type out this post we probably could have resolved your problems. If you are still having issues please do reply to us as we have not heard from you since 20 January at 6:04am and we're now well over two days past that. We stand ready to assist you
  10. Upgrade system :)

    It wasn't really my idea
  11. Upgrade system :)

    It was my idea really.
  12. 4.1.7

Yes you can just go back and download the manual update.
  13. My users hate the activity stream

I agree as I don't like that either. So tell your users to select to show items only rather than all posts. That's what that option is for  ... if it's on then only one entry per item (like a topic, blog entry, article, etc.) will show in a stream. Here is a snippet of my unread content stream I use. It's quite tidy:
  14. spacing letters apart fools profanity filter.

The word filter can only do so much and there are countless ways to fool it as a computer program cannot really read words. I could type cr4p and you know what I mean but a word filter never could. The word filter is a good tool but can never replace moderation.
  15. IP.Board 3.4.9 Released

In IPS4 you can enter your email to be notified of updates. In IPB3 it's not as advanced so we do not have an easy way to email out updates but it does show in the AdminCP feed. Unfortunately it's a really old codebase so there's no way for us to make that better. As was said many times: this is a full update. It contains security updates in addition to other bug fixes and updates. While we technically could I supposed, it would be a waste of time for us to pull out just the security updates, provide patch instructions for both code and templates, and all that when the vast majority of clients would not have the technical skill necessary to manually update code and templates needed for this fix. I really cannot comprehend what the issue is here: just upgrade like you always have.
