Does indeed sound broken / worth of fixing to me..

Yes we do, but they don't matter. It's not like in the US.

That's correct, that's what Nexus actually did. But now I see this "Purchase paid subscription" in my "user-dropdown" and can't get it away.
How can I completely uninstall IP Subscriptions as I don't need it anymore due to Nexus being installed. I would be thankful for any help.

This is a very good and much needed feature. I hope to see it incorporated soon

I have already put a canonical tag to my board index page and issued nofollow noindex to the error template (so in theory, spiders won't index them), and finally rel=nofollw to links like login, register, delete cookies, back to top and so on :)

IMO I think we need to put some weight on the <h>s tags, because currently we have:

is the board stat really that important to give it h2 weight?

H-tags barely have much relevance in our time any more.

Oh - bfarber - I have to disagree. SEO definitely falls into the category Science. It's not about "feelings" or what people "feel" or "think" is good or not. While you can not put exact numbers behind every statement you certainly can prove what does have impact and what does not.

Yeah, I found it now. It is there, it works - thats perfectly fine. Probably just my fault that I did not search "right" or did not read the whole documentation.

Ah- good point. Did not think about that one. There should be a quick guide on how to change it on apache with mod_rewrite when installing though. This would increase the customer experience I think.

€: Never mind- I found the setting "Use .htaccess mod_rewrite" in the ACP section "Server Environment". There it can be set up. Maybe still a good Idea to point people to that setting when installing IPB.

hm.. I see. Can't test it any more atm though ;)
What exactly is the use of index.php? in the path? I know that it can be removed with a single line of code (or two) in an .htaccess - but I do not see the reason why this is not done out-of-the-box. If Invision adds SEO optimizations as an usp to it's products then the index.php? really should not be there - imo.

    URL Path?
    Hi,

I am evaluting the demo at the moment so I don't have access to the CCS forums (saw two or three topics that looked promising but can't access them) - so I have to ask here.
How is this with url / page names?

    I make a simple example:

    1. create a folder called "foo"
    2. I create a file called "bar" (page name & page filename are both set to "bar")
    3. folder to save in = foo
    4. use IPB wrapper = yes

So I create this page. I would expect, that this page is accessible through either /foo/bar.extension or bar.extension (I would not mind if .extension did not exist). The only link I get displayed for the page created is something like: index.php?app=ccs&module=pages&section=pages&id=4
This is not the case however - so since this is what I (and I guess I am not alone) would have expected, I have to ask.

Hope this can be solved easily as it is somewhat of a dealbreaker for me.

    Thanks & best regards.

I would really love to see more AJAX based interaction in IP.Board. Reducing reloads would really give the board an advantage over other boards but maybe you are focusing on that with the UI remodeling... :)
