  1. Is there a way to do this that I'm missing?  It's really becoming problematic.
  2. Javascript Disabled / Offline Updates

Updates require running scripts from within your browser.  They do work with JS disabled, however, and and I suspect they would work if accessed through tor.   You need to be more clear on what you're asking to be able to do.   If it's an issue, the software does "phone home" for various reasons and I don't think this can be disabled.
  3. As I understand it, the setting to control the max age of posts searchable applies to both content streams and the regular search function.  I've got a ten year archive of posts I've made a point of keeping searchable.  I'd like to give users the option of searching as far back as they need, while having my server brought to its knees by streams.   Can we have the settings be independent of each other? Also, is there no longer an option to use imagemagic instead of libgd in the gallery?  IM gives vastly superior results and I would prefer to be able to still use it.  I'd also like to know if it's no longer used so I can uninstall it from my server.
  4. I run a mental health support forum, which means our community tends to be the perfect stew of vulnerable people and people who have no problem taking advantage of them.  Predators are a real problem.  This is fairly serious as far as missing features go.
  5. Are all the various content blocks users used to be able to place in their blogs going to return eventually?
  6. Introducing IPS Backup Service

    Nevermind, already answered.
  7. Log in... as some members (threat to privacy)

If you want to read user PMs, that's easy to do without this future. I can think of several bugs related to private club blogs where this would have been helpful in resolving things and saved having to file a ticket with IPS. I run a mental health support forum and have on a couple of occasions had to deal with sexual preditors looking to prey on abuse victims. You can bet your ass I read all their PMs. There are several occaisions where a forum admin might even have the legal obligation to read PMs if there is illegal activity. One of the general rules of the internet is to assume that any unencrypted text can be read by anyone anywhere anyway.
  8. Features removed from 3.1.4

A point that I don't think I've seen mentioned yet is that features = code. For every feature you have, for every ACP option there is, there's code behind it. That's code that has to be maintained. It has to be checked for conflicts when new features are added to make sure no bugs are introduced. It has to be tested. Eventually you reach the point where it's impossible to keep up with what code where does what and cruft just sits around your codebase bitrotting. It's not possible to keep adding new features without eventually removing some old ones. That way lies madness. I'm still testing and haven't upgraded yet, but I haven't found anything yet that's a showstopper for me.
  9. List of sites / pages done using CCS

Well, true, I didn't state what my question was. I was looking around to see if IPC would be a suitable replacement for my present wiki running moinmoin. The fact that I've yet to see any really documentation heavy sites led me to believe that I'd be better off sticking with what I've got. My impression is that IPC seems to lack the ability to easily let users add and edit content as well as being cumbersome when it comes to navigating a site with several hundred pages of information.
  10. IP Content Basics Video Tutorial

I may be out of line here but web development is something people spend years learning how to do. How to make a website using any CMS isn't something that can be condensed into a single video or even a single book. Realistically, you need to know HTML, CSS, at least one web programming language, javascript and likely some database skills. Using a CMS might give you a bit of a kickstart but there's still a lot that you need to know.
  11. List of sites / pages done using CCS

The fact that you're using mediawiki just answered all my questions.
  12. IP.Board 3.2.0 Dev Update: Report Center Improvements

The ability to search old reports would be really handy. I'm thinking about writing this functionality in myself.
  13. IP.Board 3.2.0: New Text Editor, Part II

Will this refuse to work with Chromium, Iceweasel, and other Linux browsers that are nearly identical to their branded counterparts but send a different user agent string?
  14. Spam Service Update

The one place I've still been having huge problems is guest posting. I normally like to allow guests to post but have had to turn guest posting off due to getting slammed by spam. If an additional Q&A check could be added for guest posting it would really help a lot.
  15. Spam Monitoring Service Statistics

Does the service work with data from If not, have you considered working with them?
