Last Strike Gaming

work in progress, but coming along very nicely. The power of CCS allows me to setup variuos sections to be themed in different designs and our members just love that whole idea.

Huge use of text blocks between Menus...

I've only just started it, but I'm building the new home page for the AvP fan site in CCS (nearly typed CSS again, lol).

So far it only has a home page with a forum feed, which would when live be the news forum feed.

Eventually, it'll have login in the header, forum stats, recent threads, AvP stats pages like the current home page, and more info pages.

well if you really want to see an example of what CCS is and what it does then i'm working on one as we speak it can be found here as for the forums there's no immediate plans for that but if push comes to shove then i may use it

but for now have a look anyway.

oh note: it may look alittle light for the next few day's but that's because i'm grabbing information and integration codes to link into it

OK finished aliensvspredator.net, I'm really excited about CCS, the site is using all IPB stuff. I really like how you can make your main site more tied into the community now really easily! I probably spent about 15 hours on it total.

Might as well post it here as it's being requested.

The entire 'Featured', 'Versus FM' and 'Playbook' sections of my site are created with CCS. All the other sections are either Board, Gallery, Blog or Downloads. The Versus FM and Playbook sections are offline from public viewing.

Featured page: Click. The theme is modified from Community by having clever template logic in the actual IPB skin. Same with the other sections (which you won't be able to view) The content is created with a hidden forum with topics for the articles and a forum feed (or two) to split them into what you see on screen. Articles are categorised by a special code in the topic description (cat:|: ). I'm then using some PHP functions to split it to get everything working as it should.

:)

Wow that is impressive, how much work did you have to do to accomplish that? Was there any coding and/or graphics designing involved with that creation?

I am truly and utterly speechless. :P

Ok, lets see

Link directory (work in progress) http://www.nzweather.net.nz/links.html?category=1
Storm Tracker http://www.nzweather.net.nz/storm.html
NZ Weather Network http://www.nzweather.net.nz/nzwn.html
News Feeds http://www.nzweather.net.nz/news.html
Home Page http://www.nzweather.net.nz/

All of these pages have been created using IP.Content with the link directory making use of the database and an API for screenshot creation for the thumbnails.

Holy crap - that is awesome. How did you get the topic blocks (which I assume is pulling from a CATEGORY or TOPIC to go so far before being cut off - I'm really slow at this...

Using CCS mainly for blocks and databases with a few info pages.

http://www.therightreasons.net (main page, added side panels, blocks to IPB standard template)
http://www.therightreasons.net/index.php?/page/politicalplayers?category=13 (data base listing with images)
http://www.therightreasons.net/index.php?/page/recipes?record=190 (a simple recipe record, normal view)
http://www.therightreasons.net/index.php?/page/recipe_print?record=190 (a print view of same recipe)
